Through the Barney Charter School Initiative (BCSI), Hillsdale college promotes a model of education for young Americans that is rooted in the liberal arts and sciences, offers a firm grounding in civic virtue, and cultivates moral character devoted to the liberal and civic education of young Americans. The K-12 classical curriculum is content-rich, balanced and strong, with emphasis upon the four core disciplines of math, science, literature, and history, followed by attention to music, art, and foreign languages.
